There have been so many things since my son has been growing that I’ve realized he needs! As a first time mom
I had no idea what items to put on my registry, besides the obvious. Over the past 6 months I’ve bought a list of things that are must haves for a baby and toddler that I should have put on my registry! And so you don’t miss out, here they are!
1. Burp Rags
I was lucky enough to have an amazing friend who made burp rags for me with patterns I chose but she made so many! I never though I would use even half of the rags she made me. When Xavier was little, I would use almost all of them on a week! Now I use them as wash rags when he’s eating foods or for random spit ups here and there. But you can never have too many! They’re amazing for so many things and a number one must have.
2. Mesh bumpers
I completely forgot about putting bumpers on my list because I doubted how necessary they’d be. VERY. They’re very necessary. Once your baby start rolling around and scooting, their arms and legs will mysteriously slip between the crib gaps. This can be dangerous in so many ways. Mesh bumpers allow for the babies to still breath when their face is pushed into it but also stops arms and legs from getting through the crib!
3. Bottle warmer
If you’re planning on pumping or formula feeding this is so necessary! A number one must have in my opinion! You can go check out my previous blog to see why I think a bottle warmer is such a must have and how I use it!
4. Diaper caddy
If you have a living room you need a diaper caddy. If you have a place in your house or apartment that you’re baby spends most of his or her time then use a diaper caddy! It’s so convenient to have diapers and wipes right there when you need it. Something so small that keeps your diapers and wipes from looking like a pile of diapers and wipes haha! We are moving into a house soon and I’m debating getting another one so we’ll have one in both major living areas.
5. Toddler supplies
I seemed to forget while making my registry that eventually my little tiny baby would grow up and need more than just a bottle. Sadly. But I don’t want everyone else to forget! So remember to add things your baby will need as they grow up! Suction bowls and plates, sippy cups, small silverware, etc. You’re going to need these, just because you won’t use them right away doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be added to your registry!
These are my top 5 things I would recommend to everyone needing advice for a baby registry. They’re things I use everyday or have bought my baby that has turned into an everyday use. These items have helped me out, helped keep my baby safe, or kept both me and my baby a whole lot cleaner! Comment what your must haves are so I can check them out too!
